Gifted education workshops

Gifted learners can be easy to miss. Learn how to see them.

Practical workshops for international schools, teachers and parents to identify, support and challenge gifted and high-potential learners.

For international schools, educators and families worldwide.

The Beyond IQ framework

From “I think something is going on” to “I know what to do.”

Every Beyond IQ workshop follows the same four movements. They are the reason training changes what happens the next morning.

  1. Lihi Engelsman presenting to teachers in a school classroom
    Understand.

    01

    Understand.

Giftedness is more complex than high grades or finishing first. Understand the academic, social and emotional needs of gifted students.

  2. Teachers seated around tables listening during a staff training session
    Identify.

    02

    Identify.

Learn to recognise the learners who are obvious, and the ones who are easier to miss.

  3. Teachers sorting cards during a Limitless training activity
    Support.

    03

    Support.

Learn how to implement practical and simple tools to support these students in a regular classroom setting.

  4. Lihi Engelsman working with two teachers around a table during a workshop
    Challenge.

    04

    Challenge.

Provide learning experiences that genuinely stretch students who need more challenge, choice, and connection.

Understand.Identify.Support.Challenge.

That's the work of Beyond IQ.

Our teacher training

Students Who Fly Under the Radar

  3. 03Session 3

    Practical Differentiation Strategies

Adapting advanced, complex, in-depth and creative curricula modifications to meet the needs of gifted pupils.

Recorded workshops

Learn when it suits you.

Recorded in full, so you can watch a whole session in your own time. Useful for parents, and just as relevant for teachers and support staff.

  • A teenage girl looking at a laptop, frustrated and unmotivated by schoolwork

    “Why Should I Bother?”

    How to Motivate Gifted Students

Bright doesn't always mean easy. Gifted students can struggle with boredom, perfectionism, risk aversion and quiet disengagement, at school, at home and in clubs or teams. Lihi shares practical tools you can start using tomorrow, without theory or complex models.

    Understanding Giftedness

Why Inclusion Must Also Mean Gifted Learners

Gifted education is inclusion. In international schools, mobility, language and culture can hide high potential, leading to under-challenge, frustration and disengagement. This session cuts through the myths and shares simple, scalable supports: whole-class moves, targeted extensions and individual plans.

Lihi Engelsman, gifted education specialist and founder of Beyond IQ

About

Meet Lihi Engelsman.

Gifted Education Specialist | ECHA Specialist | Founder of Beyond IQ

I used to assume gifted learners would simply do well. The more I studied gifted education, the more I realised how much adults can miss when we only look for high achievement.

The Limitless film

See what happens when provision follows understanding.

Limitless is Beyond IQ's ready-to-teach enrichment programme. The short film shows students, teachers and parents describing what changed once gifted provision became part of the school week.
