We understand that giftedness comes with its own set of challenges and opportunities. That’s why Lihi developed a program that combines personalized counseling sessions with tailored enrichment activities to support the holistic development of gifted children.
Our Approach
Individualized Attention: Lihi works closely with each child to understand their specific needs and create a customized plan that addresses their academic, emotional, and social development.
Holistic Support: Gifted children often face a range of challenges, from perfectionism and peer relationships to existential questions about their place in the world. Lihi provides a safe space for children to explore these issues, develop coping strategies, and build resilience.
Real-World Application: Lihi's approach emphasizes the practical application of knowledge and skills. Through hands-on projects, collaborative activities, and real-world challenges, children reinforce their learning and foster a sense of accomplishment and self-confidence.

What’s included?

When is it needed?
When one or more of these situations describes you:
- You noticed your child is at a higher learning level than the rest of his class peers (such as in math, reading, writing, etc.).
You want to ensure your child empowers his abilities without getting bored or frustrated at school and home. - Your child lacks challenge, hands in poorly-done work, or constantly complains he is bored.
You want to help him find his passions and work up to his abilities and potential. - Your child gives up when things get challenging- she quits afterschool clubs or anything else as soon as they get "boring".
You want to help her develop a growth mindset- the belief that with practice comes success, and teach her to persevere. - Your child feels unable to complete a challenging task. He doesn't believe he is "smart enough" or complains he is not good at anything.
You want to help him gain confidence and resilience. - Your child cannot complete schoolwork or any other activity without you by her side.
You want to help her develop independent thinking. - Your child is a perfectionist who fears failure, feeling anxious before every important test or event.
You want to help him deal better with mistakes and view failures as milestones for success. - You know your child has high abilities, but she doesn't show it in school for some reason. You want to get advice from a Gifted Specialist to find out why your child is underachieving.

The Holistic Package
An in-depth assessment and a tailor-made plan

With this package, Lihi will meet with you, the child, and the school to create a holistic, tailor-made plan that meets your child’s needs.
When is it needed?
When one or more of these situations describes your child:
- Your child lacks challenge, hands in poorly done work, or constantly complains he is bored in school.
You want to find a solution with the school to help your child feel challenged and supported. - You noticed your gifted child is at a higher learning level than the rest of his class peers (such as in math, reading, writing, etc.).
You want to ensure your child empowers his abilities without getting bored or frustrated at school and home. - Your child is the best student in class, and it's noticeable that everything is too easy for her.
You want the school to realize that your child's needs must be met. - Your child was identified as gifted, but the school doesn't have the tools and knowledge to support your child.
You want a Gifted Kids Specialist to guide you and the school about the possible options and create a long-term plan the school can follow.
What’s included?
- 5 steps program to ensure your child's needs are met:
The 1st step is meeting with you, parents, to hear your observations on your child's abilities and situation. Lihi will also perform an achievement test called Achievement Identification Measure (AIM) by Sylvia Rimm to gain more information on your child's achievements vs. potential. You will receive information from the test on five dimensions: Competition, Responsibility, Achievement Communication, Independence-Dependence, and Respect-Dominance.
The 2nd step is meeting with the teacher(s) to listen to his or her observation on the child's learning behavior in class. Lihi will also perform the Achievement Identification Measure-Teacher Observation (AIM-T) by Sylvia Rimm and you will receive information from the test on the five dimensions mentioned above.
The 3rd step is observing the child in school. Lihi will spend a day in class to observe the child's behavior, learning skills, level of challenge, etc.
The 4th step includes a one-on-one meeting with the child. Different strategy games will be played to learn more about the child's abilities.
In the 5th step, Lihi will meet with the parents and teacher to communicate the information from the assessment and explain the long-term plan step by step.
- Monthly monitoring of the effectiveness of the plan is recommended. The fee is 150 euros per month for a monthly meeting.
- A document summarizing each meeting.
- A written plan for school and parents to empower the child's talents and abilities, including advice on grade skipping or enrichment programs if applicable.
- The fee of the holistic package can be paid by the school/municipality.
- All sessions are in English (the observation step can be in Dutch).
About Lihi
Gifted Education Counselor, ECHA Specialist
During my master’s in Pedagogical Sciences (Radboud University, NL) I chose to focus on Gifted Education. I can’t tell you enough how happy I was with that choice – I was fascinated by the various needs of the gifted and talented and the ways to support them. Immediately after graduating (Cum Laude), I continued with a post-master to become a registered specialist at the European Council for High Ability (ECHA).
After completing my master’s, I noticed there is almost no support for gifted children who don’t speak Dutch. I started Beyond IQ to ensure gifted international students don’t fall through the cracks.
People think that raising a gifted child is a piece of cake. But you and I both know that’s not the case. Raising gifted children means encouraging them not to give up when they face a challenge, teaching them how to deal with failures, and constantly explaining that only with hard work could they improve. It’s not always easy to do it all alone, and that’s why I’m here.

Frequently asked questions
Lihi believes that giftedness is much more than an IQ number; Creative children, talented in music, sports, or any other field, all need unique support. Lihi helps children whose potential doesn't match their achievements.
Lihi can help children between 5 and 18 years old.
You can tell if a child is underachieving in other ways- if you see, for example, that your child is doing high-level science project or reading books that are at a higher grade level it may mean that your child needs more challenge in school. If you see signs of underachievement, it's important to address it as early as possible.
This is a common question of parents because it's indeed challenging to talk to (and sometimes convince) the school that your child is underachieving. Often schools are more willing to make a change if a specialist also backs up your opinion. If you book a consultation for parents, you can choose to add a document with Lihi's advice and observations that you can show the school. In the holistic package, Lihi will also guide you on how to speak with the school to create a meaningful change in your child's achievement.
