Find Your Advanced Students

By performing an inclusive, holistic identification process

Looking beyond traditional markers

We help schools uncover hidden talents

We believe gifted potential comes in many forms, not just high grades. Our inclusive identification process ensures that all gifted and high-potential students get the recognition and support they deserve.

We work closely with schools to assess students through achievement data, intelligence tests, teacher observations, and creative problem-solving abilities. We also specialize in identifying underachievers; students whose abilities exceed their performance.

Identification Process

For both primary and secondary schools

We use a multi-step, holistic process to identify high-potential and gifted students, including those who may not stand out through traditional measures. This ensures we recognise creativity, motivation, and potential, not just test scores.

Step 1: Multiple Perspectives
Teachers, parents, and peers complete structured nomination forms, highlighting students who show traits such as creativity, curiosity, problem-solving, empathy, or leadership.

Step 2: Observations
Gifted education specialists observe students across different settings to capture behaviours and patterns of potential that might be overlooked in academic performance alone.

Step 3: Academic Evidence
We review school records, academic reports, and, where available, standardised or IQ test results to provide context to each student’s learning profile (with parents' and students' approval, of course).

Step 4: Creativity Testing
Students complete a creativity test, designed to identify strengths in creative thinking, imagination, and problem-solving. This helps us recognise students who may not stand out through traditional measures but demonstrate strong innovative potential.

Step 5: Expert Analysis
All the evidence is brought together and analysed using expert judgement and AI-supported tools to create a full picture of each learner.

Step 6: Final Selection
Students meeting the agreed criteria (e.g. top 2%, 5%, or 10%) are invited to the next stage. They may be asked to submit a motivational letter to ensure their commitment to the programme.

Why Our Identification Process Stands Out

A Holistic and Inclusive Approach to Recognising Student Potential

Many schools rely only on grades or test scores to identify gifted students. While this can highlight strong performers, it often misses two important groups: creative thinkers whose strengths lie beyond academics and underachievers whose potential is greater than their current results.

Our process goes beyond the traditional model by combining evidence-based perspectives: academic data, teacher and parent insight, peer nominations, observations, and creativity measures. This creates a balanced and reliable picture of student potential.

For you as a school, this means peace of mind:

  • No single measure decides a child’s future – selection is holistic and fair.

  • All groups are represented – including high performers and those whose potential is not yet visible.

  • Confidence for your community – demonstrating a rigorous, inclusive, and transparent system that parents and inspectors can trust.

The result is a system that not only finds the “obvious” gifted students but also ensures that no hidden talent slips through the cracks – strengthening both your school’s reputation and the success of your learners.

We take care of everything for you...

We handle every stage of the identification process – from nominations and surveys to assessments, observations, and data collection.

Our team manages it all, ensuring that each student’s potential is recognised through a balanced, research-based approach that goes beyond grades and test scores.

Once the process is complete, we provide your school with clear reports and selection criteria, so you can confidently support gifted learners without adding extra workload for your staff.

About Lihi

Expert in international schools

I am Lihi Engelsman, a Gifted Education Counselor, an ECHA specialist, and a member of the World Council for Gifted and Talented Children. I have lived with my family in the Netherlands since 2019, originally from Israel.

Giftedness isn’t merely about being academically advanced; it encompasses a spectrum of intellectual, creative, and emotional dimensions. Gifted kids often grapple with asynchronous development, where their intellectual capabilities outpace their emotional maturity. They hunger for challenges that stimulate their curiosity. Without appropriate guidance, their potential may remain untapped.

As an expat and a Gifted Specialist, I saw the need to support gifted students who relocated to a new country. These kids come to a new country, expecting themselves to be “the best” (as they were used to being back in their home country). But that’s often not the case, and their disappointment and stress to perform can result in underachievement. Thanks to my vast experience with international students, I provide on-point advice on supporting gifted and talented children.

I offer a unique blend of experience and passion. With a profound understanding of the diverse needs of gifted learners, I am committed to tailoring educational experiences that transcend traditional boundaries.

Together, we can embark on a transformative educational journey that honors the exceptional potential within each gifted mind.
